Latics Chief Executive Neil Joy has confessed that the redevelopment and future of the Boundary Park ground is a matter of concern.
Not surprisingly he commented, “We are working tirelessly behind the scenes for the development to proceed and hopefully there will be an announcement over the summer. Obviously discussions are sensitive and confidential and we don't want to say anything until we can give accurate, factual information."
"In the past the club has made big announcements and the goal posts have then changed through no fault of anybody at the club. We cannot prevent speculation but, as Chairman Simon Corney also recently stated, hopefully there will be a firm announcement in the next few weeks.”
