Simon Corney, the Managing Director of Athletic, added his comments to the signing of Sean Gregan. He told the official website, "I'm delighted to get Sean. I don't need to go on record to say what a good player he is. A measure of that is the fact that every single one of the players came up to me yesterday and said how happy they were to have him back, and I mean every player. Sean's record speaks for itself.
I think it shows a high regard for the manager, and obviously being in second place is a lot more attractive that fifteenth or twentieth. It's all coming together quite well."
