Griffin has something to prove

Adam Griffin is out to prove to manager Ronnie Moore that he has what it takes to get back into the first team. Griffin has just returned from a loan spell at Oxford United and said, "There is a big squad here and I don't think I will get in yet but I expect to be pushing for it in a couple of weeks. Brian Talbot welcomed me with open arms. He was glad to see me and was really open and truthful. He wanted me to play games and see what I could do for Oxford United."

"I enjoyed the experience of regular first team football but I never wanted a permanent move and I am happy to be back at Latics. Their fans were really good. I think I played eight games out of 10 although Cheltenham beat us in the FA Cup. Everybody at Oxford were great to me and they are a smashing set of lads but I have come back to prove myself."

Ronnie Moore said, "Griff is back in the fold and it is now down to him. We will take it from there."
