Hardy back at work

The Latics Chief Executive Alan Hardy is back at Boundary Park office after undergoing surgery some time ago. Mr. Hardy told the official website, "It's great to be back. I am coming into the office for a few hours a day at present, gradually building up so that I can start doing my usual 12 or 18 hours a day as soon as possible. I am making steady progress, not as quick as I would like, but I was warned that things would be slow. It's amazing that whilst I have been way I have only missed three games with all the bad weather we have experienced, hopefully we have seen the back of that and we can start to pick up some valuable league points over the next few weeks."

"I was disappointed that last Saturday's game at Stockport was called off so early, I would certainly have pushed for a delay of 24 hours on the decision as the rise in temperature should have given the pitch every chance of thawing, afterall there was nothing to lose by delaying a decision for 24 hours. I would like to thank all the business clients, Latics fans, friends and of course the staff here at Boundary Park, for all their kind messages and cards I received over the past few weeks, it was comforting to know that so many people were thinking of me and I am extremely grateful for their kind thoughts. Hope to see you all at a game very soon."
