More signings to come

Latics boss John Sheridan has told that the recent signings of Mark Crossley and John Thompson is just the start of new players coming in to Boundary Park. Shez explained, "There will definitely be some more signing news soon. I've got three more deals in the pipeline, and hopefully those will materialise soon. I know I need another seven or eight players in, given the lads that have already left."

He also explained about the movement of Craig Rocastle and Paul Edwards to Port Vale when he said, "Neither of them played much first team football last time around. Paul Edwards was unlucky for injuries for a large part of the season. I sat down with them and said they wouldn't be first choice this season, and if they can get first team football at Port Vale then that's good for them. They're both smashing lads and I wish them all the luck in the world."
