Assistant manager Tommy Wright has praised the arrivals of the two new on loan defenders, Roque and Aljofree. He said, "We are being told continually about players but they have to be better than what we already have and must improve our squad. And with these two players we believe that will be the case. We had watched Miquel play a couple of times for Liverpool and could see his potential. Liverpool rate him highly, as you can see by the fact he has played for them in the Champions League, and they were keen for him to come here to get experience."

"We were very lucky to get Hasney as Plymouth didn't want him to leave, but he was keen to return to the North West. Both players are versatile and that is great as it gives us extra options. With games coming thick and fast over the Easter period players will inevitably pick up knocks so to have players who can operate in various positions is useful."
