Administration?

Has it really come to this? The team I love on the verge of extinction! Rumours have been rife but if the Oldham Times is correct, that's what is going to happen. This is the story:

“Oldham Athletic are on the verge of going into administration. Boundary Park landlords Brassbank Ltd served the club with a court notice on Friday relating to overdue rent and unpaid loans. Administrators are in position to be appointed with a hearing set in Manchester on Friday, March 6 over a reported debt of around £600,000. There has been an on-going dispute between owner Abdallah Lemsagam and former Latics chairman Simon Blitz, a director of Brassbank. It has led to the closure of the North Stand, part of the Oldham Events Centre at Boundary Park, in recent weeks. Administration would mean a 12-point deduction that would currently leave Latics four points above bottom side Stevenage with one team dropping out of the Football League this season following Bury’s expulsion. The cut off for the points penalty to apply this season is March 26. The news of looming administration came on a day where staff and players were told their wages, due next week, would be late. Latics are also facing a winding-up petition on March 18 but it is understood the tax debt owed to HM Revenue and Customs is in the process of being settled."
