Hasney Aljofree has been signed from League One rivals Swindon Town after they agreed to cancel his current contract. The cancellation means that Aljofree does not have a club and is therefore eligible to sign for a new club outside the transfer window. Due to injury he has not played a first team game since December 2008.
Aljofree played for the Latic's reserves last week and has signed a contract with Oldham until the end of the season. Aljofree is 31-years-old and his agent Clive Hart told skysports.com, "He's delighted to have been given the opportunity to play for Oldham. He is looking forward to playing again in the first team." Aljofree previously made five appearances for the Latics when he was on loan back in 2007.
