Chesterfield have finally completed the signing of Mark Allott with the striker penning a two and a half year contract. The 23-year-old, who found himself frozen out of the Athletic team, has clinched the deal following a two-month spell on loan which ended at the weekend. Allott thought about the move carefully before deciding to join The Spireites and explained, “This is a big move away from home for me so I wanted to be certain it was right before committing myself. I am excited about the future here at Chesterfield.” Allott joins former team-mates Mark Innes and Danny Walsh who have both gone to Saltergate in the last month.
