Another new name in manager hunt

Last updated : 28 June 2016 By Dave Moore

Athletic's search for a new manager continues with Sean O'Driscoll now emerging as a new candidate. O'Driscoll is a former Doncaster, Nottingham Forest and Walsall manager and he also worked as Brendan Rodgers' assistant at Liverpool.

Last season at Walsall, he lasted for only 16 games before he was sacked. The players are due back for pre-season fitness testing at the University of Bolton next Friday and the club would like to have a new manager in place before that date.
