The Latics have signed Rob Hunt from Brighton & Hove Albion on loan until the end of the season. Hunt is a full back who made his league debut for the Albion in September against Burton Albion.
Latics’ boss John Sheridan explained, “He can play at right back or a right wing back but there are a few clubs who were trying to get him so we are lucky to have him. He has really good potential and he’s played for Brighton’s first team this year. He is a young player who needs to get out of the under 23 league and play in a more physical one and it will do him the world of good. He has the ability to have a really good career, he’s only young and I’m really pleased to get him.”
