Appleby gets another opinion

Last updated : 22 May 2003 By Dave Moore
When Matty Appleby was handed the team captaincy at the beginning of the year, he expected it to last. After the win over Bristol City in September he only managed another three games as he was sidelined with hip and thigh problems from which he has still not recovered. After several visits to specialists, the injuries are still not resolved and he is now going for another opinion from an Orthopaedic specialist. Matty is desperate to get back into shape for the start of the coming season.
