Beckett looks to automatic promotion

When Luke Beckett hit his first hat-trick of the season against Blackpool he confirmed that the team had their sights set on an automatic promotion place. Beckett said, "We have said all along that automatic was what we were going for. We have to believe in ourselves and take it week by week, but we don't really want the play-offs if we can avoid them. There are no easy games but our run-in could have been a lot worse and, hopefully, we have hit form at the right time. I missed the start of the season with injury and didn't get off to the start I wanted when I got in the side. I have missed more chances than ever this season and deserved to be dropped. (On Saturday) I just grabbed the ball...I wasn't going to let anybody else take it (the penalty). Everyone is playing their part and things are beginning to fall into place. I still want those 20 goals and if I do maybe we can keep on winning."

Manager Moore added, "He was magnificent and that is an incredible scoring record. He gets in there and on that form is hard to stop. Will Haining was down to take penalties, but there was no way in this world that was ever going to be happen. Luke just grabbed the ball and put it away nicely for his third goal."
