Beckett relieved

A relieved Luke Beckett broke his barren scoring patch with one of the goals that helped see off Bradford City in the Boxing Day victory. It was only Beckett's second goal in his troubled season.

He told the official website, "It was a relief all round. I have been back for the last three games and I don't want to be left out again. I don't even like being substituted and now I have got that goal under my belt I am looking forward to finding some decent form. We have a lot of strikers at the club and when you are left out you have to take it on the chin. I know I am here to score goals and I felt a whole let better when that one went in."

Ronnie Moore added, "He is another player who has worked hard and showed desire. He needed a goal and took it well. The front three are all proving lively and will score goals, I have no doubt about that. We brought Luke off near the end to give him a little rest."
