Beresford could become a permanent fixture

John Sheridan has hinted that on loan goalkeeper Marlon Beresford could become a permanent fixture at Boundary Park. With Mark Crossley out for a further four weeks and Les Pogliacomi out until Christmas it is a distinct possibility. Berisford does not fit into new manager Kevin Blackwell's plans at Luton Town so he is keen to play regular first team football, even if it means moving north.

Shez said, "I played with Marlon a long time ago at Sheffield Wednesday and he's a good 'keeper and a good talker. Marlon has been around for a while and has got a lot of experience. He's a good lad and is good for the dressing room, and he'll come in and hopefully help us out for a month or so. If he does well, you never know. There might be something around the corner but Marlon's here for a month initially and we've got a lot of games in that month. He's not had much football at Luton of late, but he's a very good keeper who is dying to come and play and I'm sure he'll do well for us. It's going to be a hard month but, if we do things properly, our position could look good at the end of it."
