Paul Black was delighted to start his first game of the season at Carlisle after coming back from and ankle injury which was sustained in a freak training accident. Black told the official website, "We worked on team shape in training on Thursday and then Joe told us, 'that's the starting team'. I was so happy to be in the starting line-up, especially because injury has made this a frustrating season for me. I injured my ankle in October and I've only played a couple of reserve games since coming back, so I was tiring and getting cramps towards the end."

"I enjoyed the game and I loved being part of it, even though it was difficult with ten men. It was great experience and I hope there's more to come. All the lads are different class and they are helping me to improve my game. I definitely want to experience more first-team football as soon as possible and hopefully I'll get another chance on Monday."
