Alan Blayney has been placed on standby for Northern Ireland's Euro 2008 qualifying games against Liechtenstein and Sweden. The call up could leave the Latics without a back-up for keeper for the upcoming trip to Brentford which would leave youth-team goalkeeper Ryan Smith having to fill the void as Terry Smith has joined Southport on loan for a month.
