Bobby Johnston book up for grabs

A new book has been published about Bobby Johnstone by John Leigh, and you can get one for free. Bobby was Oldham's own footballing legend and he brought a new beginning for Oldham Athletic AFC. He was arguably the best loved entertainer that has ever graced Boundary Park. What did Bobby achieve as a player?

  • Played nearly 150 league and cup games scoring over 51 goals
  • In 1960 Bobby joined Oldham and his debut saw an attendance of 17,116 for a Fourth Division match
  • Played 143 games for Latics, scoring 36 goals
  • Played 17 times for Scotland, scoring 10 times
  • Won the Scottish league title with Hibs twice (1951 and 1952)
  • Won the FA Cup with Manchester City in 1956
  • Represented the Scottish Football League 6 times
