Bonner contract cancelled

Mark Bonner has had his Boundary Park contract cancelled by mutual consent. 31-year-old former Blackpool and Cardiff midfielder Bonner has sustained a serious injury to his left forearm and the bone is now held together by a plate and nine pins. He has been unable to play since being in an accidental collision with team mate Rob Scott at Port Vale back in September.

Bonner said, "I enjoyed my time at the club and they are a great set of lads. But Oldham weren't getting value for money from me and this was a sensible course to take. I am glad it happened now and not when I was 21".

Oldham FooyMad wish Mark all the best and hope he recovers enough to renew his career.
