Mark Bonner will be out of action for up to six weeks after being taken off in the home match against Hartlepool. Bonner has had a scan and the result is that he has a Grade 1 tear. The tear is a hamstring strain and manager Brian Talbot is disappointed to be losing the youngster.

He said, “It's a blow for us because I think he's been first class for us this season. It’s sad to lose the engine room of our team. You might not notice him much, but he has become very important and will be hard to replace.” It is expected that John Eyre will move into central midfield to fill the gap left by Bonner.
