Brian Talbot plans to sign Cardiff City’s Mark Bonner (pictured) before the transfer deadline on Friday. Midfielder Bonner has been at Boundary Park to discuss personal terms and he will sign on a free after completing his medical. He featured in last year’s play-off final and has been with the Bluebirds for six years, making around 150 appearances. His first contract will be to the end of this season with the option of a more permanent deal depending on his performance and Brian Talbot's end of season clear out. Things could also work out to offer defender Gareth Owen a third month on loan and Talbot has irons in the fire to bring in a new goalkeeper and another forward.
