Mark Bonner could be out for several weeks after suffering a broken arm in Athletic’s 2-2 draw at Port Vale. It is expected that he will have to undergo an operation. The clash which caused the broken arm was ironically with team-mate Rob Scott and the resulting crack could be heard in the stands. Ronnie Moore commented, “This is a big blow because he has just got back in the side and we won the first two games he was playing in central midfield. Mark and Scotty hit each other with a fair bit of force and the club doctor confirmed a break soon after.”
