Reece Brown is set to play for Manchester United tonight in the semi-finals of the Lancashire Senior Cup as the Reds requested permission from Latics for the 20-year-old central defender to play. The terms of Brown's loan agreement means that he is eligible to play in this competition.
United have a congested reserve-team fixture list and want Brown to help out to make up the numbers but he will be back at Boundary Park on Saturday to play against Carlisle which will be the last match before his loan from Old Trafford expires.
