Blackburn Rovers defender Alex Bruce has joined the Latics on a one month loan deal. Bruce is the 20 year old son of Birmingham City Manager Steve Bruce, and can also play in midfield. With the departure of Mark Arber to Peterborough the Rovers reserve player has been added to bolster the squad. Bruce will stay until after the Brentford game and has been given permission to play in both the FA Cup and LDV Vans Trophy.

Striker Danny Forde (pictured) has had his loan spell at Mossley extended for another month. Forde has made two appearances for the Lilywhites and another Latics youngster also on loan, Paul Armstrong, has made three appearances for the Seel Park club.
