Lincoln City’s Richard Butcher, who will become a free agent when his contract runs out later this month, has agreed terms with the Latics. Butcher will join the Latics when he returns from holiday next week. The two year deal falls under the Bosman ruling. Butcher signed for Lincoln from Kettering Town back in 2002 and the midfield dynamo became a major player and helped the Imps to two Millenium Stadium appearances which, unfortunately for Lincoln, were both unsuccessful.
