Allan Smart (pictured) is poised for a recall to Athletic's team when bottom club Cambridge visit Boundary Park. Smart, signed for £225,000 from Watford, is currently on top form and has hit five goals in seven games. He scored at
Peterborough, got two against Brentford and was on target when the Latics hammered Colchester. He was however dropped at Reading but he came off the bench to head the second equaliser.

Midfielder Matty Appleby will be serving a one-match ban for being sent off against Cardiff so it is likely that Colusso will fill his spot as Oldham look for their first win in five games. On form Smart and Dele Adebola, who should make his home debut, would form an aerial powerhouse as Smart is 6ft. 2ins. and Adebola is 6ft. 3ins. in his stocking feet.

With David Beharall out for the season due to knee surgery, Fitz Hall could be called on for defensive cover. Cambridge have won only five games all season and have yet to win on their travels. To make matters worse they will be without their captain Paul Wanless who has an ankle injury.
