Canadian International striker could feature for Dons

Before you get your hopes up Saturday won't be the big return of Latics 'legend' Carlo Corrazin! But it may well be a Boundary Park debut for fellow Canadian striker, Ali Gerba.

The 26 year old Canadian international penned a deal with Roberto Di Matteo's Dons some three weeks ago and in-turn snubbed any rumours of a move to San Jose Earthquakes to reunite with former Canadian head coach and Ipswich town favourite Frank Yallop.

Gerba's impressive international scoring record, nine goals in 18 games, may prove to be an influential addition to an MK Dons side already equipped with plenty of attacking firepower in the shape of Wilbraham, Baldock and Leven.

Gerba is currently preparing for Canada's World Cup Qualifier with Mexico on Thursday and plans to arrive at Boundary Park in time for the League One tie, but early indications suggest that, at most, the striker will only feature on the bench.
