Manchester City are denying reports that Micah Richards has asked for a transfer. City's director of communications, Paul Tyrrell said that Richards remained under contract for another two years and had not asked to leave. Arsenal are said to be interested in Richards who is a boyhood fan of the Gunners and Richards confessed that he is "flattered" by the interest.

Although his employers are saying no deal Richards himself has cast doubts on his future at Eastlands when he was quoted as saying, "For now, I'm with Manchester City, but I can't always say I'll be a Manchester City player in the future. This is my club now and we'll see what happens for the future. At the end of the day, everyone wants to better their career and if Chelsea, Arsenal, wherever, was the right place to go, I'd have to consider it, wouldn't I? Obviously, there's been interest from different clubs. After only 15 starts, the interest from other clubs is unbelievable, really. It's good to know, but my dad just tells me all the time to keep my feet on the ground, keeping working hard and things will pay off. I'll just keep working hard and we'll see what happens."
