Club delighted with season ticket sales

The club are delighted with the rise in season ticket sales. The discounted ticket prices have ended and the Latics have already sold in excess of 3,100 which brought in a very useful £765,000 for the coffers.

Ticket prices have risen by approximately 10% but Alan Hardy was quick to justify the increase by saying, "The football we played and the results we achieved have obviously had a big bearing on our sales so far. We hope it will continue up to the start of the season because John's rebuilding plans certainly aren't finished yet. We've announced three new signings in Lee Hughes, Mark Crossley and John Thompson, but there will be more in the next few weeks. We expected season ticket sales to go up after we reached the play-offs, and the increase is in line with our budgeted figures, but we are delighted with the response."
