Media reports regarding a statement about former player Cristian Montano suing the club have been answered by the club's solicitors. An official statement has been issued by the club which states:
"After following due process, Mr Montano's conduct was found to be such as to amount to gross misconduct, irrespective of the ultimate outcome of the criminal proceedings. Mr Montano declined the opportunity to appeal further to the Football Association and as far as we are concerned the matter is closed."
