Colbeck facing Latics fitness race

Midfielder Deane Smalley has been troubled by a back injury but played for 67 minutes on Saturday and should again retain his starting berth.

Jon Worthington is again expected to play no part as he continues his recovery from damaged ankle ligaments.

Striker Lewis Alessandra, who has also recovered from ankle ligament damage, is now on the sidelines through a hip strain.

And on-loan Huddersfield midfielder Jim Goodwin looks certain to miss out again following the recurrence of a thigh injury.
