Striker Rhys Turner has joined the Latics from Stockport County and he comes with a great goal scoring record.
Spotted by Southend manager Phil Brown, he commented, "He is a superb striker with the potential to surpass any of the students we have provided to the club (Stockport) in the past. He has great pace, is a fantastic finisher and is deceptively strong."
