Coventry City will be refunding any Athletic fans who did not make it to the game at the Ricoh Arena last night. A delay of over two hours on the M6, ironically just seven miles away from the ground, caused many fans to be late or miss the game altogether.
One coach-load of frustrated Latics supporters trooped wearily into the ground with 86 minutes on the clock and were greeted with the friendly banter of “Part-time supporters!” from the other Athletic fans which was greeted with smiling faces upon realisation.
Fans who bought tickets in advance need to present their complete ticket at the ticket office for a refund.
