Danny Hall released

Danny Hall becomes the second player to be released since the season ended last Saturday. Hall follows in the footsteps of David Eyres after his contract was not renewed. 22 year old Hall is now a free agent after spending the last four years as a professional at Boundary Park. He made a total of 71 first team starts with a further eight as substitute netting just one goal for the Latics.

Ronnie Moore said, "Danny Hall has been unfortunate with injuries ever since I came to the club. He didn't play many games last season, but there was interest before the transfer deadline in March and I'm sure there will be interest again. I need to shake things up, so I'm letting two players go in the hope of signing one who will be a regular in the side. Hopefully I can make some room for the quality we need, but finances are going to be tight."
