David Eyres: Veteran of the Year 2004

The vote had it's contraversy as thousands of votes mysteriously pilled up for certain players, resulting in the BBC pulling the plug on the original vote and restarting not showing how many votes each player had got.

David beat a number of other players including Les Ferdinand, Des Walker and Brian Tinnion to the award.
