Davies happy to be scoring

Craig Davies was delighted to score the opening goal at Huddersfield and ran over to the manager on the bench to celebrate. He has been under strict training to make him more greedy around the box and to get as many shots in as possible and it seems to have paid off.

Davies said, "The manager and assistant have been telling me to shoot quicker around the box, and I'd had a couple of chances beforehand. The ball was there and I just whacked it, it was a decent effort in the end. I was off-balance and turned and hit it. I knew where the goal was and when you're always happy when you hit the net from there. Shez keeps encouraging me to shoot, and hopefully I will get better with each game."

"I think it went well. Matty Wolfenden is a good player, especially around the box where he is very sharp, but I've enjoyed playing alongside all the strikers so far this season. Michael Ricketts is strong in the air and links the play well and Wolfy gets in the box and looks for the poacher's goals. Lee Hughes has still got to get fit, but when he does he'll be sharp and up there scoring."
