Dean Crowe leaves Boundary Park

Dean Crowe will not be retained for the next season. Crowe signed on a non-contract deal on transfer deadline day and made two full appearances with three substitute appearances. He scored one goal which came in the 1-1 draw at Luton Town.

Brian Talbot said, “We thank Dean for his efforts because he added to the squad at an important time. But it’s vital to have a conveyor belt of players coming through, and the four lads I’ve included for the game at Notts County are talents I believe could play in the first team. I’m not saying any of them will play at the start of next season, but this gives them encouragement. The starting XI is the same as last week, but at least two young lads will be on the bench and I’ll try to get them on. Although not much is at stake, I want to end the season on a high with three more points. There will be a party atmosphere among our fans and it would be great to finish only one place outside the top half – that’s something I thought would be impossible when I first arrived.”
