Paul Dickov does not understand the reason why he was asked to move into the stands by the refereee at Colchester. The manager says he was not shown a red card so will have to wait to see if the referee, Steve Rushton, includes the incident in his match report.
Dickov said, “I haven't got a clue why I was asked to sit in the stand for the second half. I questioned the referee at half time about the penalty and a couple of other decisions, but made sure I did not swear at him. As we came out for the second half the referee told me on the fourth official's advice that would I mind going to sit in the stand. All I found was that I was asked to sit in the stand for being disrespectful, but the referee did not mention whether I had been sent off and I certainly wasn't shown a card.”
