The Latics could be hit with a massive fine of up to £30,000 if they do not improve their disciplinary record before the end of the season. The team have avaraged 9.14 points from the start of the season until the end of the year. Disciplinary points are based on 10 for each red card and 4 for each yellow card. The clubs record is the 3rd. worst in the Football League. Including the Premiership and Nationwide Conference they rate 5th. which is very poor indeed.

Alan Hardy has informed the Committee that the club fine players for offences and explained that they usually invite a referee to speak to the players in pre-season. With the off-field goings on last summer the calling in of a referee was overlooked but the club accept the responsibility and it will be addressed.
