Doncaster draw keeps run going

Latics manager John Sheridan was still upbeat after his side drew 1-1 at Doncaster to extend their unbetaen run to seven games. Shez said, "This result keeps our little run going. I'm pleased to come out with a draw. I said to the lads before the game that I wanted three points. I want to think we can win every game we play. But the next game's at home so I was pleased with a point."

It was a game at two halves. We had the wind behind us in the first half and I think we probably shaded it. I felt confident even at one-nil down though it's always disappointing to concede from a set piece. However, full credit to the lads. They showed character to come back into it before half-time. We were battling against the wind in the second half. They hit the bar but apart from that there weren't too many chances. The conditions spoiled the game, really."

"If Chris Porter (pictured) keeps banging the goals in, then we've always got a chance of winning games. Long may it continue. Speaking of the late offside decision which cancelled out Bruce Dyer's effort Shez added, "It was definitely offside. There were three or four of them in there and the linesman made the right decision. Our defence did a good job of catching them offside."
