"We are very bare on the ground and it was a concern for me this game"
Iain Dowie was philosophical after the 3-0 FA Cup victory over the football league’s basement club. Dowie said, “It's an important result for us. I don't think we played anywhere near our potential but when the squad is as decimated as it is it's a case of getting the job done which we did. We are very bare on the ground and it was a concern for me this game. I thought it might be a problem for us as it was one of those difficult ones. We had to deal with their strength. We're not a physical side, apart from the two forwards, really so in normal play I thought that might be a problem but we coped with it okay.”Dowie philosophical

“I thought we had a very good 20 minutes after we scored and it could have been anything, 3 or 4. Outside that we didn't play great. I wouldn't say it was a wonderful spectacle but some of our football was very pleasing on the eye. Some of our moves were good especially Danny Boshell's shot, who I thought did well when he came on. We got three goals which is pleasing and kept a clean sheet in light of what we've got at the club.”
