Cameron Dummigan became the 21st signing of Stephen Robinson when he signed a permanent deal until the end of the 2017/18 season. The full back also has the option of another year at Boundary Park. The 20-year-old from Burnley has been on loan at Athletic over three periods and has impressed enough for the boss to sign him for an undisclosed fee. Due to international commitments Dummigan won't be available until the home clash with Chesterfield.
The manager said, “Working with him before may have persuaded him to come. He gives us another option on the right-hand side and also some more pace out there as well. Burnley and Sean Dyche have been very good with us to get the deal done. The boy needs to play and he wasn't going to get that opportunity at Burnley. He now has to come to us and will fight to get a place in the team.”
