New signing David Dunn is looking forward to his extended playing career, one which now spans 18 years. He will join Liam Kelly, Mike Jones, Lee Croft, Carl Winchester and George Green in a fight for a starting role in midfield and is really excited by the prospect.

He said, “I’m really looking forward to joining up with the rest of the lads and putting my boots back on. I've been fortunate enough to watch a few games during pre-season so there is a lot of good, young players so hopefully, with my experience, I can bring them on as well. From what I've seen so far, we seem to pass the ball really well and I'm sure I can fit into that really well. Hopefully I can chip in the assists and some goals as well. I've got a good record and I've scored a lot of goals from midfield in the past so we'll see what happens.”

“I need to a bit of fitness work in the next few weeks but then I'll crack on and start showing the fans what I'm all about. I've tended to watch a lot of League One and League Two over the last couple of years. I've played at the top level for a number of years but I'm looking forward to the challenge. People have told me that I shouldn't have dropped down but, whilst I am still hungry to play and prove myself, I'm really looking forward to doing that.”
