Latics defender Neal Eardley was in the Wales team for the World Cup qualifying game against Azerbaijan in Baku which the Welsh won 1-0. The game was Eardley's tenth full apperarance for the international first team. The win moves Wales on to nine points from seven games and keep alive their faint hopes of the Dragons qualifying.
