Young striker Tom Eaves has ended all speculation surrounding his Boundary Park future by signing a new five-year contract with the Latics. The 18-year-old insists that the delay was nothing to do with money, but only the length of the contract.
He was originally offered a two year deal but the new offer has cemented his position at Athletic.
He declared, "I am happy to have signed the contract and can't wait for pre-season to start. I am delighted the club has had the confidence to give me a five-year contract and I will be looking to progress further."
