Latics have reached a settlement with John Eyre which means that the midfielder has had his contract terminated. Eyre had two spells with Athletic, the first one in 1993 and his other since 2001. Ex-boss and former Latics legend Andy Ritchie brought him back to Boundary Park for his second spell after he was released from Scunthorpe.
