Eyres signs

David Eyres has signed a new deal to end speculation that he might be leaving Boundary Park for good. Having just returned from a holiday in USA, the popular Eyres accepted the revised terms of his initial contract and said, “I'm extremely happy for myself and my family that I'm staying at the club. I always wanted to stay at Boundary Park and I knew that Ronnie wanted me to come back. The terms have been agreed and I'm here for another year.”

“I need to get myself fit and earn my place in the starting eleven. This is now an exciting side. Whoever plays in it is going to have to be at the top of their game otherwise they will find themselves sat on the bench. I'm up for the battle! With the quality of the players here this year I can see us being a bit of a dark horse. I don't want to shout my mouth off but, if we can get the right start I can see us being up there. If the team gels we will be a match for anyone.”
