FA Cup Draw

The Latics have been drawn away at Conference North side Kettering Town in the first round of the FA Cup. The Poppies achieved the mouth-watering clash after beating Southport by a lone Brett Solkhon goal in the Fourth Qualifying Round. Kettering are currently in fourth place in the league having lost just three of their 13 league games this season.

Latics boss Jihn Sheridan commented, "It's a good draw for them. I'd have preferred a home tie, but it's a game we can win. It's going to be Kettering's FA Cup Final. It's a decent draw for them as they would want to be at home. We know it's going to be hard, every game in the FA Cup is, but we've got to go there and be professional, and hopefully we'll get the right result."
