Ousmane Fane was left out of the squad at Coventry, despite being available after serving a one-match suspension. Stephen Robinson justified his decision by explaining,
“We've built a squad whereby players won't necessarily walk back into the team if they've been out injured or suspended. There is a massive fight for places here now, and that's not just on the pitch, but on the bench too. We've got to create that kind of environment where nobody walks back into the team.”
