Ousmane Fane has finalised a move to Athletic from Kidderminster with a £30,000 two-year deal. Fane is 22 years old and has the option of a third year on his contract.
Stephen Robinson stressed, “My budget hasn't changed and I have been clever with what I have done with it. Whatever you bid for someone comes out of your budget, whether someone is paid £1,000 a week or you are paying £50,000 for them. It's the same thing. I would rather run on a smaller squad with quality players. We have a very good medical team with Stuart Irwin as well. He has been fantastic and people like him allow you to do that. I would also not read too much into reports of what has been paid for people.”
